Thanks again. JA (I suspect) was created by the US occupying forces to buy all agricultural produce (intervention buying) and advance credit against future harvest. I'll check with the memsahib. The US Military did a great job post-war. The sprinklers spray groundwater. That system is being replaced by closed loop heating. The sprinklers dump water in the drains, and the aquifers draw down. With the closed loop system, the groundwater is re-injected. Most conveniently, the re-injection well is less than 100m from our bore I have lots more stuff: snow clearing, construction in earthquake areas etc. Plus some seasonal landscapes.
