as my 2021 Hijet truck is still under warranty and the purchase price included 2 years free service, I did not yet touch anything for service, when I last week went for the annual inspection I watched the service man a bit what he did and he also connected a service tool to the OBDII to check data and reset the oil change interval reminder. Might get such an OBD tool next year when free service expired. If you got a good reader by then from the aftermarket, let us know.

speed limiter? Is that really installed on your car? My Hijet runs more than 100 kmh w/o any problem..
I found some info here for older Hijet, you have to check on your model year if it looks same https://minitrucktalk.com/threads/s210p-s211p-speed-limiter-removal.19920/

maybe you contact the seller US mini truck sales., they should have info which tester fits best for your model year, I assume they check the cars arriving from Japan before they sell it to endusers. https://usminitrucksales.com/
Also ask them with regards to the speed limiter.
There are some OBDII code readers on Ebay and Daihatsu is mentioned. The AUTEL MaxiScan MS309 is cheap, try that one, costs abt $20 on Ebay, https://www.autel.com/c/www/mk1/3264.jhtml Compatible with domestic, Asian and European vehicles, 1996 and newer.

a standard OBD2 scanners show generic codes: A generic code is the same on all OBD-II equipped vehicles no matter the manufacturer. A manufacturer specific code is one that is used for only that manufacturer. Powertrain (Example: P0) 0 = Generic OBD Code, SAE Defined Code. 1 = Manufacturer Specific Code

I found some information on mounting a small iPad on the dash looks fairly simple so I am think of doing that if I can I would be able to run my
bluedriver obd2 or use the gps system for a speedometer.
and be able to use the map on my iPad.
what are your thoughts on this idea?
get my truck Monday looking forward to having some fun and work with it.
