    Hey All,

Picked up my ‘96 Hijet S110 EFGS a couple years ago and try to use it for an every day vehicle, unfortunately it doesn’t always want to start, more so in the cold weather. I’ve rebuilt the carb, tuned up the coils (corroded springs), replaced the gas filter, coal canister and intake manifold gasket. When it doesn’t start I’ll change the spark plugs which usually gets me about two weeks of driving, then I have to do it again. The engine seems to flood regularly so I have to put on the gas to start which gets the plugs firing but after a few tries they are to soaked to spark.

The crank is healthy and I can hear the plugs igniting but can’t seem to get it over that hump. Any suggestions of what I should try next?

And when I do get it started it runs great.

    thanks!

Have you tried new Distributor Cap and Plug wires?

It has a coil pack so no distributer cap. I’ll check the continuity of the wires this weekend
