Just picked up this 1987 Subaru Sambar KT6. It is titled and street legal, but will probably reserve it to only property use. I'm guessing the KT6 is a rare or unpopular model because parts a few and far between. I have been searching through the forum and have already run across @RMAKES posts and videos. Main thing I am looking for at the moment is an engine trap door. I bought one for the TT model, hoping I can make it work.
Welcome! Indeed the KT6 is hard to find parts for. A fellow kei truck enthusiast in Japan told me it's even hard to find them over there these days. I guess it stands to reason given the age. I can't help you find an engine cover door, but let me know if you need any measurements or if pictures of mine would help. Cheers.
The one I bought for the TT model worked great. It was the correct shape/size, just had the holes in a different location. I used a rivet nut tool to add new bolt locations and all is good.
