I picked up my "new" 2018 Suzuki Carry tipper from the Southern Highlands in NSW and drove it back 2,600km to FNQ. Car went well all the way, fuel consumption was a bit high at 8.2lt/100km, possibly due to the tipper head board extending well above the cab (will cut it down to fit inside the cab outline). Only gripe is the front suspension travel (lack of), I lost count of how many times one or both struts bottomed out with a mighty bang. The worst events were approaches to bridges & culverts on the inland highways. Statistics: 2,600km, 3 days of ~10h each, travelling mostly at 100kph indicated (92-93kph GPS), 4,900rpm TIP: if you plan on travelling in a Carry (or other KEI truck) any long distance, get yourself a noise-cancelling headset. Your ears will be grateful forever
Nice and I agree...Long distances can be challenging. Fortunately for me, I drive mine to work, and it's only a few miles each way.
