I recently bought a '93 Carry Sport - project. It has a broken timing belt.

I have the head off and determined that there is no damage so, despite it being pretty well worn, I'm going to just lap the valves and put it back together. I have a timing belt, timing belt idler and spring, head gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, inlet manifold gasket and set of valve stem seals on order. I'm in Atlantic Canada and don't have a heated workshop so progress will be slow over the winter. I have the head cleaned up enough that I can take it into the basement and do the valve work there, but I don't expect to have it all back together until spring.

Will posting this into be enough to update my membership to a level where I can download the F6A rebuild guide I see in the Resources section? I'll need the factory procedure for setting the valve and ignition timing and the head torque/sequence specs.

    Thanks for reading.

  2. Hello and welcome! I'll be excited to follow along with your progress - please start a thread in the Suzuki Carry section so we can all follow along! If you can't download that rebuild guide now that you have an account, shoot me a DM and I'll send it to you directly. There is no specific bolt sequence, the head bolts go in a cross pattern from inside to outside. Final torque is 45 ft-lb. The rebuild manual is... shy on detail. There's better detail (including bearing clearances) in the Danko manuals for the carry, happy to send you a link as well if needed.
