I think Chris had it sitting in his shop and thought it would be a good fit. I'll ask him next time I see him. I wish I knew everything he forgot. He's a fabricator, electrical guy and sharp as the day is long. It will interesting to see the finshed truck.
What chassis did he start with and what transmission is bolted to the escort engine. have been wanting to do an engine swap myself but don't want to lose the 5 speed and transfer case.
It s a Daihatsu S83p frame. He's using the 83 tranny. He made his own adaptor plate for the trans. Said it was know bog deal.
