Rebuild a 3g82 Hey there, Do you know anyone in Vancouver that can rebuild a 3g82 or 3g83? I brought, rings, bearings, seals and a bunch of other junk with me when I brought my van back but I'm too scared to do the rebuild myself. Know a guy? I'd use you guys but I'm trying to minimize my downtime and shipping everything over to the Island bums me out. Thanks, dude! Kelley
I know that Japanoid over in New West has mechanics in their shop there. I've not had any work done there so I don't know how well they'd do. I'd be betting that Bob over at Toyo Motors could do it for you too.
3g82 rebuild kit I have a rebuild kit... I bet it'd fit a 3g83! But it's for a 3g82. I think it's got all the gaskets including the head gasket. I've got crank and rod bearings and seals o plenty. I wonder if any old engine builder could rebuild this sucker if I gave up the goods. I need it done FAST it's my daily driver! It's looking like Vancouver island is my best bet...
Yes, any good shop should be able to do this for you. I used to send mine out when we were backlogged in my shop. There is nothing truly mysterious about these engines.
