My solution to rear shocks

My rear shocks were shot. Went to the local NAPA looking for something to fit. Found Monroe 37098 was close, they gave me one that was in obsolescence for me to try. Pretty easy to make it work. I cut pieces of 3/8 water pipe 1.275" long to fit in the bushings & used a 7/16x3" bolt in the bottom, original bolt in the top. It's a little out of square at the bottom but works. Had them order me another one to match. Less than $40 and I'm happy. 20190703_113829.jpg

What model of Sambar do you have?

Sorry, it's a KS4. Doesn't seem to be a place to add that to my profile so it shows up without having to specify in the post.

Did your old shocks have a U shaped bracket on the bottom?

    Yes, they were OE shocks.

The updated NAPA # is 94038. The new in the box shock came with the metal bushings so I didn't have to make them.
