My 1998 Sambar truck is missing the the cover seen at the 16 second mark in this video. Is there a part # associated with it?

  2. Well, you can try Megazip - how's your Russian?;)

You'll need your model info to open the correct folder. And the model number of the truck in the video, which might be harder to obtain.

Come to think of it, the truck pictured in the video looks kinda Daihatsu-ey to me. Maybe it's one of the new Subaru-nameplated Daihatsus after Subaru quit making their own Sambars?

The one in the video might be a much newer Daihatsu made Sambar, but a version of the part looks like it would bolt right to the front cross member, providing a solid perch to jack-up the vehicle in the recommended location.
Here is another, @2:19, same style of plate attached to front crossmember:

  4. I wonder if that isn't some custom item. Do I see chalk marks on that plate and crossmember at 2:15?

Any luck at determining the model of the truck in the video?

In the first video no. Youtuber does not know English and my experience with Google translate is that is doesn't work well with complicated languages.
I'm fairly certain the second video is an older Subaru Sambar, the spare is on top of the frame on the right side and it has the Y shaped frame ends in the front.

  6. Just spitballin' here... maybe you could take a picture of your VIN plate with the model number circled, and send it in a message with a question mark?

The truck in the video is post-facelift 6th gen Sambar truck, somewhere between 2003-2012 and is made by Subaru, not a later rebadged Hijet. The part in question is 20117TC061. The crossmember is pretty different between 5th and 6th gens. That part would likely not fit well, if at all, on a 5th gen truck.

If you change the .ru to .net, you switch to the english version of their site.

Is there a corresponding part # for a 5th generation Sanbar?

No, it was a new part for only the 2003+ models.

Thanks for providing that information. I could not find any image of the cross-member part in any diagram I found for my model year.
