Minicab valve cover gasket? Rubber,or cork?

    I plan to check my valves when I do the timing belt. Can I expect the valve cover gasket to survive? If it matters, mine is the 6 valve non hemi.

    What type of motor? 4A30 or the 3g83?

    The gasket on my 4A30 is super beefy but I would just replace it, mine was leaky.

    3g83 I put the valve adjust off.....I can see pulling it off in multiple pieces. It can wait till I get a gasket. JIC!
