1995 HiJet s110p ef-ns engine. No power in 4th on even the slightest of inclines. I've read through posts with similar problems but never seem to find a solution. New: fuel pump, plugs/wires, carb cleaned, air filter, dis cap & rotor. I tried to adjust the ignition timing but it's advanced beyond correction. Also, I have the evap canister disconnected because it was creating pressure in the gas tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What causes the gas tank pressure? How do you know? My first thought it is not venting properly. What do the spark plugs look like after driving?

I'm not sure what causes the tank pressure but I know it's there because the gas cap hisses when I take it off after driving. At one point it was leaking fuel near the charcoal canister as well. I'll check the spark plug condition soon. Thanks

Ok, so my guess is the tank is not pressurized. It is de-pressurized (negative pressure inside) because your vent is plugged. No idea how those tanks are vented, I don't have a kei truck yet. But I would be willing to bet a dollar on my guess being correct.

That makes sense. I'm gonna try to find the hold up in the vent. Thanks

So the power loss was due to valves out of spec. 1st cylinder had low compression so I adjusted valves and now I have full power again.
