Just can't turn this one down....the insanity level is just too high and the engineering so far appears pretty sound http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...oject-hotrod-rat-rod-trike-W0QQAdIdZ280931531
You kind of have to buy it now! The price kind of makes me wonder though. You can see the time and money put into that thing.... I wonder what the motor is out of. Is it the aircraft version or the old snowmobile unit? Either way it is hardcore. Buy it so we can live vicariously through you!
I love it. I would buy it if it is all all close to running. And it needs a nice wood stake bed on it. And a metric crap-ton of driving lights. Here, I found the guy's BUILD LOG!
price isn't bad. its pretty cool. I like how he used placed the coilovers in different places to make it look cooler.
dude buy it!!! also save all that guys pictures of it if you do so and get as much info and stuff about it as you can from him.
fingers crossed..going to see it this weekend.....Acerguy excellent find on the build post....my thoughts on finishing....2 tone robins egg blue or mint green with cream/off white (think 1950's 2 tone Beetle) same colours on the rear wheels with dog dish hub caps...front needs spokes.....redwood or cedar stake bed..roll back cloth roof, and wheelie bars......GFs gonna kill me....unless I can get it in the garage without her seeing
Attempting a semi swap with my 1952 Lambretta LD125 that I have 1/2 restored and got sidetracked away from it about 5 years ago ( Same as pic but 2 tone Kiwi green/white..with saddle stitched brown leather seats)...thinking swapping a project out with another is going to be easier to explain away....problem is the Lambretta is worth 3x what he's asking for the Moto-Guzzi...and he hasn't answered on the proposed swap...grrrr damn email...why does no one use a phone
People have forgotten how to speak! Isn't evolution moving forward??? Good luck on the purchase! Nice scooter you have but... The new one has a coolness that is off the chart! How long has it been on the market? Is it drivable? The horsepower seems high! I have a 2009 Can Am Renegade 800 X with lots go faster fun stuff and it dynoed out at 80hp to crank 64hp to rear wheels! You can't beat the Rotax power... I can get a built 840cc Rotax with a Trask turbo for about $7000.00 that has been dynoed at 116hp to crank at 18lb boost! It's going to get very $$$ to have me living vicariously through you but then again what are friends for
Tell her that you can't put a price tag on investing in quality family time! Work the angle that your really doing this for her. Don't use the line "would you rather me being out spending the money on hookers?" It probably won't go over well! Have you told her that this will be the last impulsive purchase (until next time) I'm actually wondering if I'm any help at all. Just tell her the truth that if she says no you might snap and do something you shouldn't!
I'm sorry but I've been thinking about that darn thing all day long! I reeeeelly want to build something small, license-able and out of the weather for my short commute on days I don't ride. It looks like a very fair price all things considered. Leather tuck-n-roll bench seat all the way across, man!
The problem with living with a mental health crisis specialist is she can read me like a Dr. Suess book....she can smell the need bouncing around in my pointy little cranium... even on the phone she knew I was up to something before I mentioned it....She'll be in The Czech Republic in 2 weeks so I'll just do a deposit and pick up when she's away......I'm gonna be so dead
Gone...before I got a chance..pulled the listing after we swapped a few e-mails?? I guess on the bright side I don't have to buy that I-pad
I can't believe you are doing this to me? How am I supposed to suggest (manipulate) ideas on the build. I had a lot of plans for it. So I guess your going to have to find something else for us to build
I haven't completely given up ..still trying to get in contact but no replies any longer praying the add self detructed on the interwebs and the guy is away for the weekend...fingers crossed
