Can anyone tell me about purchasing trucks from Japan? I am hunting a reputable dealer, and all the bs that probably will go with shipping them to Savannah, Ga. I hope someone can get me the info so I can finally get my truck before Christmas.
japancardirect.com Scott Bower will answer all your questions. I imported mine Sept 2014 and had a great experience with it. Tony
got mine through pacific coast jdm and also had dealing with mark at brave. it may take a while for you to find what you want at auction then if you miss the boat it will sit in port till next one. have you looked also at tradecarview. work college got a honda beat cheap this spring.
I have to second Japan car direct, if you have a vehicle in mind, and you are able to articulate the condition and options you want, you will end up with that exact vehicle. During my search Scott and Dave not only walked me through the process but passed on several vehicles I thought met my wants and expectations... They told me the car didn't meet my list, so they wouldn't buy it for me. They repeatidly told me their service was not to buy cars but to buy only what their customer asked for, and let me tell you, my mini is mint... It looks absolutely brand new, and even had the new car smell... The guys at the docks even said it was the nicest one they had ever seen. After I bought my truck Scott has continued to help, and we recently put through an order for genuine Suzuki service parts like oil filters, but also rain guards for the window, the big green tarp for the back, and it all came directly from Suzuki. Scott and Dave are probably two of the most honest people I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Unbelievable experience. My Suzuki was 2000 DB52T with 4wd, 5 speed, and 4,800 km. It was found by Scott through a local dealer, and not the Auction.
