Lift Beds (how do they work?)

Discussion in 'Mitsubishi Minicab' started by 98 SNAKE EATER, May 22, 2008.

  1. was lookin at an LHD Mitz today with a lift bed and couldn't figure out how it worked

Only spent 5 minutes checking it out, but the sticker on the side said to shut the engine off and put it in "Park" (3speed lol)

I pressed the buttons on the dash, but nuthin happened (didn't try with it running)

    Are these electric or hydraulic?

Is there some kinda main safety switch that needs to be turned on first?

    Electric

My Suzuki is electric. Key must be turned on. I start the engine just so i don't drag the battery down. works great.

It is an electric powered hydraulic package. The engine should be running for it to function, just like on the dump body.

  4. Cool, I'll try it running next time I check it out

BTW, I meant dump bed

  5. Checked it running and it raised/lowered just fine :D

Hopefully my bid comes through

    dump bed

we also have the dumpbed model. it has a payload of 1500 pounds.the directions for use are standard safety procedures. we use ours like a normal dumptruck. we dont set parking brake and ease forward to layer gravel or dirt. fantistic piece of equipment. Ed
