This senate bill, which will allow our trucks to use public roads with restrictions, just passed a senate vote by 34 to 4. Now it's time to reach out to your reps on the House side and ask them for their support. With a successful vote in the House, it will have one more stop on the Governor's desk.
KY Senate Bill 63 is making its way through the KY House of Representatives and had its 1st reading yesterday, Mar 7th. Needless to say, the passage of this bill will be awesome for mini truck owners in all of Kentucky.
KY Senate Bill 63 had its 2nd reading in the KY house yesterday, March 11th. If I understand the process correctly, there is one more reading which will include the house vote. There are only three more days in the 2025 session so, it's definitely coming down to the wire. Although there will be some restrictions...if passed, our mini trucks will be eligible for title, registration and use on Kentucky roads. Although some KY residents report they were able to get their Kei vehicles registered in certain counties, there are many others who have not been successful. This bill will allow them to finally hit the road legally.
YES!!! The KY House voted 93-2 for passage. After the Gov signs it, our mini trucks will be allowed to legally drive on public roads. There will be restrictions such as, no operation on federal highways. Going forward, mini trucks can be titled in KY. Of course, they will have to be registered and carry insurance. This is all good news for those owners whose county clerks rejected their previous attempts to get the vehicles titled in KY.
It looks like, as of July 2025, mini truck owners in Kentucky will be able to title, register and drive on public roads.
Not necessarily. Our legislators put in a statement that requires individual COUNTIES to adapt an ordinance for their area. County 1 mile from me is . County I live in?. What a pain
