Where can you purchase some window rain visors for the side windows?
There are some on Ebay but they want your first born along with $$$... They aren't cheap!

Check Yahoo Japan. If you got the partnumber, it’s easier finding the needing parts.

Hi! I know this is a two-year-old thread, but I wondered if you ever got around to scanning those supplements? I've had no luck finding useful manuals or guides for my 1997 Atrai (EF-GS). Someone else mentioned they'd be happy to buy the scans from you. I would be too! :)

I'm so confused. My 1997 Daihatsu Atrai (s130v) has an EF-GS engine, like some of the people who've contributed to this thread. The scans of the manual MrJPolito kindly shared seem to cover a bit of info on the EF-GS, but mostly center on other engine types. So, there's a different manual out there for the EF-GS type? Did I understand that correctly? I'm sorry if it's a dumb question. I've never even tried to repair anything as simple as a lawnmower before, so I'm in way over my head, haha!

Thank you. I did see that thread and I've looked through your scans before. It's great that you shared them with us!! :) I'll go through them again when I have more time. I guess with vehicles like ours we have to thumb through various bits of information from different sources until we find what we're looking for? Not an easy thing to do with zero mechanical experience. I love my van, but seriously, what was I thinking? LOL. Thanks again.

there are lots of good info in those scans, but OCR only picked up so many Japanese words, and subsequent google translate only picked up so many automotive terms. it comes down to what you need to work on.

My process was find the appropriate page in the scanned manual, re-OCR if needed, then copy-and-paste translate every sentence, with manual proof reading, then use that information to work on what i needed to.
that is the nature of owning a car not meant for an English speaking market. It was so much easier to gain knowledge when I used to have a UK Classic Mini.

Thank you for the solid advice. It's much appreciated. It's all pretty challenging, but I do love my little van. I'm sure you feel the same. :)
