Has anyone had any luck lately finding inner tie rods? I have a 91 U42T. Read on here 88-91 lancer will fit but cannot find anything for a lancer until 2002 in parts searches. Tried galant tie rods off rock auto they were only 3 bucks a piece so I took a chance. Too big.
What's your VIN? Look it up on Partsouq and if they don't have it bring the part number over to Amayama.
If your U42 is anything like the U44 , it appears the inners are a part of the steering rack. I see why your having a tough time tracking them down now, shoot. What's wrong with yours?
Actually just heard back from G and R after receiving the wrong tie rods. They sent me ones for power steering which were an inch short. Future reference for anyone. So they are over nighting the “right” ones hopefully. It’s been about a week and a half of back and forth trying to get these and I was searching for an alternative. I had a lot of clunking and noise out of left front. The tie rod was toast. So replacing both.
