My 91 Mitzi is intended as a promotional vehicle for my company, so I drive it everyday.
For heavy, ugly work I use the old 87 F150 but the mini is meant to grab attention.
Driven it so much lately, that when we took a 2 hour trip yesterday to and from the denturist in our regular car (Saturn Vue) I kept flicking on the wipers instead of the turn signal. And the little woman laughed her head off at me everytime!
I even found myself thinking 'everything is backwards' in the Saturn instead of the mini!!

What part of Wisconsin are you in? I've been looking at all of the recent changes here in WI as well and we have legislation submitted to the State allowing broad use of MT's on roads up to County Hwy (No Interstate). Still in the relative early stages but there ARE things coming down the pipeline.

I'm located in Weston in central wisconsin near wausau.

My vehicle is titled as an NEV electric vehicle which falls under federal law.

While your at it with legislation why not suggest NEVs & LSVs in wisconsin be lumped together and treated the same way as other states where they are allowed up to 45mph on any road except interstate? It would be nice if we could get more progressive in this state.

Also get rid of that blasted your area must pass an ordinance to allow BS.

Good Luck on your vote, we are all pullin for wider acceptance of these little rigs, even if on a restricted basis.

I also live in central Mississippi and have a titled and tagged 2003 2wd Suzuki Carry. I love this truck! It has COLD AC and gets great mileage. Then I have a 4wd 1997 Carry untitled for off road use. I love it too! Guess I'm hooked on mini trucks.

    street legal AZ

just plated and insured[state farm $39 1yr] use it daily as local ride and as long as u don’t go on the freeways and numbered highways all’s fine, these r not classed as slow moving vehicles. Did 40+ miles today and passed a couple of sheriffs and local city cops

Same here, I go all over Miss. since these trucks are street legal here. But I ain't brave enough to head out to Disneyworld in it, besides my wife is a big woman and she sucks up all the AC! Hmmm, I guess I could leave her at home, LOL.

Seriously, I have never been stopped by law enforcement and I have met many. To my knowledge these mini trucks are as legal as my F150 in Mississippi. Someone inform me if there're any restrictions that I don't know about.

Twice I've been stopped and questioned here in BC. Both times the questions were "Where can I buy one for hunting?" and "Wow you can go 100 kmh. What size is the engine?"

    Good to go in Mississippi

All good here, go anywhere you're BIG ENOUGH to. I personally stay off of the Interstates. Not safe. There are plenty of state roads. You can still get there. :)

  16. I drove my mini 400km (250mile) home on highway. Even large semi's didnt blow my truck around. I do have a larger motor which may help me out on the highway.

Is the 993cc a stock engine? I'm only familiar with the 660cc which is supposed to be rated at ~ 45hp.

  18. Yes, Mine is an export model. Which was sold in Australia and the UK (and probably other countrys as well). S75 and S76 models were export vehicles as far as i know. They are not real Kei trucks as they have a bigger motor but as far as i know they are the same in every other aspect.

I had my truck on the dyno stock and it put out 45hp at the wheels with perfect A/F ratios. My motor isnt really a revving motor and more so designed for torque and lower down power. Is the Jap spec power at the wheels or flywheel?

I'm not sure how they rate the KEI horsepower. I only read the basic specs on the 660cc's. You have a nice truck and I would like to have one, but they're not that common in the US.:(

Let's not hijack the the thread here so I'll move on...

I had a Suzuki Super Carry van when I lived in England and that had a 998cc engine init and was the same size as a kei truck I could get in on 3 wheels on corners at high speed but I was 19 then! They also sold the same van baged up as a Bedford Rascal and the only difference was it had cloth seats
