Hijet choke pull off

Hi. I just bought a 95 hijet S110P. It starts ok, but, the high idle seem pretty high and it wont come down off high idle unless I manually move the vacuum choke pulloff mechanism. I just replaced several bad vacuum hoses hoping that would fix it. No change (except it does idle smoother when I manually slow it down). If you press the accelerator it goes back into high idle (even if the truck is warmed up). Does this sound like a problem with the vacuum choke pull off? Looks like I have to pull the whole carb to change it? Who might sell one?
If not, what might be the problem?
    Thanks for your time, Steve

It sounds like either the coolant lines to the carb are plugged or air locked. These trucks are notorious for having plugged coolant lines to the carb. You can usually blow them out with air then refill rad. If you get a bunch of nasty crap out you will probably want to flush the whole system. If your truck is a recent import you will find that the coolant seems to be a mixture of salt water and battery acid with a big hand full of red clay thrown in for body and the fuel system won't be much better but once you get it cleaned up it will run great.

Do you recommend I drain radiator and blow it out, or disconnect lines at carb and blow them out? or both?
Have to wait till the weekend to dig into this.
    Thanks for your advice.

To start with I would just take the lines off at the carb and blow them out.A lot of times if someone not familiar with these trucks flushes the system the carb portion of the system doesn't get cleaned out probably because of the smaller lines.

Update: my problem seems to have been dirty linkage. After watching a youtube video from Fupabox about his Hijet carb, I did some investigating on my carb. Kept spraying cleaner and lube on the choke linkage and presto! Automatically idled down. After setting the idle speed, the truck runs rough. I will now dig into the distributor and possibly a carb rebuild. Thanks Fupabox! Wherever you are?
