I just got a 92 hijet last night, stated when delivered and stated this morning but was not happy about it. Drove it 200ft it died and now won't start. It is getting fuel and it keeps back firing allot. Seems like no spark but i don't have help right now to test it. Had anyone else had this issue? I'm very new top these trucks and don't know much if anything about them. Please any help would be great...

I have a 92 hijet as well, it is the 660cc. The plugs I took out had been wore down to the nub! Also the distributor cap does not have any of the carbon brush left.. Yet it still runs up and down the road just fine.

I would strongly recommend a set of plugs, cap and rotor.... Even if it doesn't help- you needed it anyway!

So if you have a 660cc you can use NGK BPR5EY (exactly what I used).

    See 4th post....

You may also have an issue with your choke. It is a flippy arm under the throttle linkage(on carb). Well, on mine it is....
