Help identify open connector

Discussion in 'Daihatsu Hi jet' started by shawndoe2000yahoo.com, Apr 19, 2025.

  1. I will be changing out my timing belt soon and I was inspecting the timing cover and surrounding area from beneath my 1996 Daihatsu Hijet S110P Twin Cam 4x4 the other day and I noticed this green open ended electrical connector.
Before I start digging up electrical diagrams can anyone help me out in identifying what it’s for?
    Thanks in advance!

Where is that connector located? I can’t tell from the photo.

  3. Sorry that was the only picture that would load. In the picture I was laying down under the timing belt cover area (passengers side), looking towards the front of the truck and you can see the radiator fan just to the right. Hope that makes sense?
Basically it’s located directly under the passenger’s seat.

    Sorry for delay.
I too have that green empty connector.
    Same spot.
I had the bed off mine a while back and I labelled every connection at that time.
That means on my truck there has never been anything connected there.

  5. What a relief. Thanks for checking. Maybe it’s for some optional accessory from the factory? Don’t think
I will bother looking into anymore for now. I’m sure at some point it will bother me enough that I will go down that rabbit hole.

You could check to see if it has power with the ignition off and on - if no power, then you can just ignore it
