Hello I am new to kei trucks. I just bought a 93 Honda Acty SDX in April and so far I have done some body and paint work to deal with rust spots and dents. I’ve installed sound deadening in the doors and on the floor pan. I’ve swapped all the lights over to leds. Replaced the radio with modern Kenwood head unit and wired up 4 inch Focal speakers in the stock locations. I added a 6x8 mini powered subwoofer from JBL under the drivers seat to get some bass. I installed a NRG steering wheel. I got some old VW wheels off a cabrio and some mud tires that I am waiting to get back from powder coating. Next up is installing a muddy bottom lift kit and refurbishing the shifter bushings. I am also getting the seats reupholstered and adding carpeting. I would like to add a light bar of some kind to the roof in the future and I’m still looking into options for that. I think that’s it for now. Let me know if there is anything else you would recommend doing to this little rig.
Hi and congratulations! We're in CT, too, and my son would love to buy an Acty. Just curious but was your Acty already in the US when you found it? Did you have any issues registering it? How do you like it so far? -Eric
