Hello, hopeful minitruck owner here with a question about a seller. Has anyone purchased from jdmallmakes motors.com before. Found a truck I’d like but being paranoid about wiring money (along with my bank freaking at the hint of wiring). Thanks for your time and look forward to sharing my adventures, John
No answers here so far. Have you googled them to see if anyone else has anything to say about them? Kevin in NC
Thanks for the reply Kevin. It is the lack of info that gives me that nagging feeling. About the only mention is on Reddit from just a few months ago but the company has been around several years. https://www.reddit.com/r/keitruck/comments/14wssqr/anybody_ever_bought_from_jdm_all_makes/ Here’s the Subaru I’m looking at: https://www.jdmallmakesmotors.com/autos/1997-subaru-sambar-4wd-ac-equipped-el-gear-5mt-53000-mi/ I’m leaning towards positive on the purchase, looks like a pretty nice minitruck and already looking for tires. John
That seller has 638 transactions on eBay with 100% positive feedback. My impression is they're legit?
I've never dealt with them, but they have been around for a few years. as kyrbs mentioned, they have good ebay feedback so I would think they are legit. That truck seems pretty nice. It's not a red flag, but it has been repainted. Also needs tires. Overall I think thats a good truck provided it runs well though.
Thanks for the feedback everyone and nice google fu kyrbs. I did see the overspray in some of the photos and it looked like some of the cross members were painted also. I guess we’ll see in a week or to when it arrives. Thanks again, John
Just wanting to follow up with buying from jdmallmakes. Great experience, wired money on Tuesday, truck was picked up on Wednesday and arrived on Friday. My first experience driving the truck was backing off the flat bed since the driver couldn’t use a manual. Vlad was very helpful and patient with all my questions.
If you dont mind sharing, what did you end up getting and how much was the whole thing including shipping?
Sure, I bought a 1997 Subaru Sambar Special with 83,000 kilometers on it. The price was $5,500 and shipping from LA to Eastern Washington was $900. Just had it inspected at a mechanic and it needs brakes all around and timing belt, about what I would expect for the mileage but the body is in great shape with very little rust. Hope that helps
