I bought a 1990 Subaru Sambar a month ago from Japan. Its arriving at the port next Tuesday. I have been lurking on these forums for awhile now and I figured its time to make an account. I did all of the importing/paperwork and stuff myself and God willing I should have it registered here by the end of next week. (DMV started the process and gave me an incomplete registration, I just have to get it verified smoged and weighed and ill be official)
Make sure to inspect & verify the Ser #. Many years ago when I moved to Ariz from Cal the Ariz DMV accused me of stealing a car because the numbers were wrong on the Cal title. Took quite a while to get it sorted out as I had bought that car brand new from a dealer in Culver City who had messed the number. Fred
