Has anyone ever checked the rear end gear ratio on their trucks? 4:88? 5:14? 3:55? Any idea?

i've been looking for it in print and on the net, i made a nifty little spreadsheet that will calculate rpm based on speed, tire size and gear ratios in the tranny and rear end, but i've come up with nothing, i'm on the hunt too. let me know what you find.

    Final drive ratio

    Late model Honda Acty: 5spd 6.23 3spd auto 5.75 // 5 spd ratios: 1-5,R 4.545/2.500/1.680/1.133/0.861/4.300

Late model Honda Attack 6 spd fwd + 2 rev: 3.272 ago after 6.230
    [*] // 6spd ratios: UL,1-5,R,UR 7.800/4.545/2.500/1.680/1.133/0.861/4.300/7.588

    Late model Subaru Sambar 4wd S/C 5spd + EL 6.166 // 6 spd ratios: EL,1-5,R 5.888/4.090/2.352/1.518/1.060/0.810/5.866

    Late model Subaru Sambar 4wd N/A 5spd + EL 6.500 // 6 spd ratios: EL,1-5,R 5.888/4.090/2.470/1.615/1.125/0.861/5.866

    Late model Subaru Sambar 2wd 5spd~~~~~~6.500 // 5 spd ratios: 1-5,R ~~~~~~4.090/2.470/1.615/1.125/0.861/4.166

    Note: 2wd Sambar's come with 5 spd manual while 4wd Sambar's [both N/A & S/C] come with 6spd [5spd + E Low] - ratio's as noted

So at highway speeds S/C Sambar has advantage over N/A model by turning lower revs at same speed with more H.P. to back it up.

This is awesome info. I’m a little confused regarding the attack gear ratios. I thought the acty attacks are UL, 1-4, R, and UR. Does anyone know what the final gear ratio is for 4th?

    thanks!

I just came across a video of a 95 attack with 5spd, R, UL and UR. Is this typical? All I’ve seen until now are 4spd in attacks. Any info on this?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this one has come up several times in my searches. I just wanted to add/correct the info for the Acty Attack. The HA4 Attack 4 speed + UL/UR ratios are as follows.
    UL 7.8
    1st 4.09
    2nd 2.50
    3rd 1.68
    4th 1.05
    R 4.3
    UR 7.588
    final drive 6.23
front diff is ~3.25 so some of the final reduction for the front axle is done inside the transaxle/transfer box.
