Where is the fuel filter and can you use a lawn mower filter?

Mine is just forward of, and on the right side of the tank. It's just a big filter like a GM would use. The kind you can get at any Walmart/Autozone, etc.

A lawnmower filter prob'ly won't have enough flow. Play it safe, get an auto type.

Agreed, the correct filters are available at the autoparts store. cost about $10.00 each. Tell me what truck you have and I'll give you the part number.

I have a '91 carry and I just bought an inline filter from wal mart and it worked just fine.
