I recently acquired a 2002 Carry 4wd. It has no buttons on the dash, just the 4wd lever on the console. I have verified that the mechanical lever works, tcase shifts and front DS spins, but the diff does not engage. I found the wires to a solenoid? on the front diff torn. Repaired those, but no change. I did verify power was going to the connector after repair. I would guess there is probably a vacuum actuator as well? Any chance someone can point me in the right direction?
I am having the same problem. What did you find out? Afraid I'm gonna have to rebuild front diff. Not looking forward to finding those parts.
