There is what I think is a fast idle switch on my Sambar that when the a/c is turned on it applies vacuum to a diaphragm that pulls a small rod towards the linkage on the carb. I suspect it is supposed to pull on the linkage to increase the idle speed when the a/c is on. However, when it contracts, it comes just shy of contacting the linkage and doesn't seem to accomplish anything. I've adjusted the nut on the backside of this but it doesn't seem to do anything. Any ideas?
Well I put a 10 ga butt connector over the rod and added about 2 wraps of gorilla tape and it now fast idles when the compressor is on.
