Hi again, my 1995 Minicab with 3G83 carbureted engine just started running again after fixing the head gasket. It'll start up fine when cold, but if I idle or drive for a while and get the engine hot and put it in park, the engine starts to shake hard and usually stalls. If I go back into drive or accelerate, no issues at all. This only happens when the engine is warm. Starting cold doesn't have any issues. Starting warm, I have to accelerate a bit to get it to idle. Do I need to adjust an adjustment screw on the carb or something?
Have you replaced all your vacuum lines or maybe knocked one loose/forgot to put one back when working on your engine?
When its cold you are running on the choke. Sounds like either a vacuum leak or you need to adjust something on the idle like the mixture and/or the idle speed.
