Distributor drive/camshaft seals

    Hello all!
I have a 1997 Honda Acty Street (VIN HH3-2350247) with AT and A/C.

Oil is leaking into the distributor - significant enough that the cap fills with oil. When the oil reaches the level of the #1 cylinder tower, cylinder #1 loses spark and the engine dies.

I have replaced the collar o-rings, inner shaft seal and the cap gasket. Is there supposed to be a seal in the cylinder head where the cam engages with distributor? It appears there is a snap ring but it's not holding anything from moving.

Turns out there was a wear groove in the distributor shaft that just happened to line up with the seal when it was all buttoned up.
Ordered a rebuilt distributor from "Auto Moto Outdoor 20.95-jp1" on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/354542934106) and it even included the ignition module and collar.
Got it in 5 days from Japan to Florida, USA!
