    Hello all,

Tried searching but couldn't find an answer here and I'm struggling. Have a 1999 Carry Turbo (F6A EFI) that I'm doing the timing belt/water pump on. The issue I have is that the timing belt tensioner on this guy doesn't have the spring assembly on the tensioner that most F6A Carry's have. I verified it's not just missing by looking at the parts diagram for this specific truck (though it looks like ALL the EFI F6A DB52t trucks use this "newer" style tensioner).

I don't know how loose/tight the new belt is supposed to be and can't find a spec anywhere. Can anybody help?

Do you have a picture or link to a picture of t he tensioner? Maybe its a more modern one like is found on newer cars with the spring built in and it just has to be relaxed once in place to get the tension.

I found this snoopying around for a DB52T on mini4x4.ca
