So, I recently purchaced a Hijet S83P. Trying to research stuff on this truck, and looking for some help. First: What is the difference between S80 through S83? Wiki makes it sound like its just the years of production, but says nothing about S83's. It also mentions that 'exports' generally came with a larger 996cc engine. Is this true of North American trucks? I found a left hand drive clone of my Jumbo, and wondering if it might have the larger engine. Finally, I'm looking into the possibility of rebuilding the engine I have. But it has bad pitting in the cylinders, so will need oversized pistons/rings. Anyone know how big I can go? Possible suppliers? I'm in Victoria BC, and shipping across the border usually sux. Also looking for a source for valve rocker shafts. It seems my exhaust one is broken.
