Carb piston needle order

Discussion in 'Mitsubishi Minicab' started by SteamPunkProgrammer, Oct 28, 2024.

  1. So.. I was carefully cleaning my carburetor replacing gaskets and what not and when I looked the needle on the carb pistol it just fell out and I have no idea if I put it back together correctly.

I assumed it was sharp part down. Spring washer then plastic ring. Then the screw on top. Does anyone know if this is correct? At least if it's wrong it's easy to access while it's installed but I'd just like some piece of mind haha

  2. Here's an image to make it a bit clearer

  3. I managed to find ONE diagram that shows the order of the internals of the carb piston, hooray, I did have it correct.

  4. got it back in there, doesnt run right when cold, runs great when warm, I think I need to adjust the choke knob thing that is connected to the heat pressure thingy on the clockwork side of the dang thing haha.

  5. Adjusted the choke, and now we're 100% good. It solved my warm start issues, and some issues when I just tapped the accelerator it would almost stall out and rebound, now its nice and smooth! worth the effort to do that rebuild!
