91 Subaru Sambar Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia If anyone is still having problems with insurance mine is through the cooperators and I believe they are Canada wide.
Mine has a dump so coop kept quoting ne commercial insurance thinking it's a dump truck over 3000. Have always insured it through a spot in Dartmouth. Think it is 700-800 a year
Getting close to pulling the trigger and importing a mini-truck. Didn't like the cost of the trucks for sale locally based on mileage, year and condition. Looked into things and have mostly figured out how to buy at auction and import. Lots of research into exporters, auctions (vehicle pricing and rating), shipping from Japan, import brokers (paperwork) and shipping inside Canada ('cause I'm not close to a receiving port). None of the process is difficult. It just takes some time. Once it is all done, will do a write up, similar to mtslesse on who was used and associated costs. Blessings, DSlag
I have a '89/'90 Suzuki Carry in Sicamous B.C. This is in the Okanagan near Salmon Arm if you haven't heard of our little town.. The reason I say '89/90 is because it says it is a 550 cc on the plate, but the engine says 660 and it is 5 speed although the shifter only shows 4. I'm thinking it is a late '89 with the 90 bits.
whats the trick to get someone to insure ( minimum liability ) these great little trucks in southern Ontario ? Please help !!!
Neller, what wheels and tires are on your truck - they look great! I don't know about insurance in Ontario, but I remember someone saying "Aviva" insured them for PL-PD. I think being right hand drive is a problem in some provinces... Roadster
Just got a 2005 Suzuki Carry . Little trouble getting in insured, but my ins. made an exception. Great fun to drive.
This is an old post by the look of it, did you get your new van. I am also from LONDON looking into getting one of these trucks, but finding information on insurance seems to be scarce. Any information?
