Down in the islands and came across this hi jet with a covered box. Looks factory but removable. Two sliding doors and 2 side windows. I want one..
photos That is a factory option offered. The box costs about $4500 as an option. The bad news is they are $6000+ for just the box. Mit. offers a similar one. The photo is a Suzuki but Suzuki no longer offers this box as of 2011
Thanks for the info woodhe1, I had money on the factory status. It was just too good of a fit. I'm thinking all around good option for my suzuki. I like the enclosed space, keeps the bugs, dust and rain out. I can put a boat rack on top of that, and maybe even a few marker lights on the front, above the roof; like a rig. I just like it. I wouldn't go new though. That's just too much cash. Our friends from the Philippines are trying to break into the north american market in a big way. Maybe they could come up with some units? I'll keep my eyes open, as I did not know that this was a factory option. FYI, in the dominican, they swap righties to lefties as well. Nice work. AND BTW, that's a nice lift, looks like a four.
So rather than starting a new thread, what has happened to all of the wrecked KEI trucks out of Japan? This is what I was thinking, a box, and a parts truck for cheap...a grade 1C or whatever. I've done a lot of searches, and can't find anything. Just the standard assurances from every one in the industry that no tsunami damaged vehicles will ever enter the sales system. OK, so where can I buy one? Or who is buying them? Where are they? We're talking about 10s of thousands of trucks here. So where did they all go?
