I had a 77 Toyota pickup, that I bought new, and insisted on a set of manuals as part of the purchase. The manuals only had torque specs for the head bolts, because they were special. All the rest of the fasteners were done to the torque table on the inside of the back cover. Since then I’ve discovered that a lot of the Japanese vehicle manuals don’t list torques for the fasteners. They just include the table somewhere in the book.
