Recently moved to a new house and debating putting a blade on the Hijet. I contacted the dealer and they sell Blackline plows. Electric only (manual angle) and hydraulic (power angle). They mount to a 2" front receiver. Are these relatively sturdy? Live in Chicago so we get wet heavier snow usually. Often not that much at a time (2-4"). Sometimes up to 8-12", but that is rare. The driveway is decently sized @ 7200 square feet. The main concern is the road. We live off a private road that the city doesn't plows. There's 4 houses on it, and I know the 2 people right next to me are retired so they only plow out when they need to. The road is just over 1/4 mile long and we are the last house on it. I think I can get by with the manual angle blade, but the power angle would be nicer I am sure. Difference in cost is $2K which is hard to justify. Anyone run one of these? Are they sturdy? Power angle worth the extra 2K?
