Best way to fix charcoal canister

What is the consensus best way to fix the charcoal canister being clogged?

Current I unhooked my gas tank top vent line at the gas cap/fill to keep pressure from building but I am wondering if this will not fix the canister clogging building pressure.

I noticed if I pull the vacuum line from the cannister completely I get a vacuum leak and no awd actuation.

Will running with the gas cap off fix my issue or is there another method people are using?

My cannister is the one under passenger seat and appears to only have one line running to it that tees into the lines that run awd solenoids.

That is a vacuum reservoir, which you need to run the vacuum actuators for the 4wd, and axle locks. The charcoal canister is most probably located back on the inside of the right frame rail a bit ahead of the axle.
