Bent conrod replaced

Finally got that bent conrod replaced. I replaced the clutch parts while everything was apart.

The carb was stripped and given a good cleaning. All those small coolant lines where cleaned out. All the manifold coolant passages where cleaned out.
The engine has all the gaskets and seals replaced. There are no leaks from anything now:D

To remove the engine takes 2 guys about 2 hours plus another 1 for beer breaks.
To replace the clutch, piston/conrod, all seals and gaskets takes about 1 hour. The engine is exceedingly simple to work on.

To put the whole thing back together again took us around 3 hours. We forgot to place the front drive shaft into the transfer case before bolting the engine x-member up. This meant we had to drop the engine enough to wiggle the shaft into place.

Found out that the best way to fill the coolant is to jack the front of the truck up until the rad cap is higher than the thermostat. This makes bleeding the system a breeze.

The valve lash was reset, the ignition timing set and the carb adjusted.
The little truck now runs sweet. Is it ever smooth and quite. The hot idle is stable at 800 RPM. The cold fast idle actually pulls itself off.
The truck will now pull a grade in 4th that it needed 3rd to even attempt before.
