Enough... the truck is staying on the street anyways. I obviously come from simmilar background... low with lots of wheel/tire.
flip kit for the rear axle, & cut the front springs. then come join us! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnu8zDmCJJk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWHyAx8TVgo
The lowered Kei truck looks cool but all that plastic almost touching the ground will get ripped apart very quickly. But you knew that. Sam
Three things will save you from that. 1. Being careful. 2. Air bags. 3. Bodyshop. (hahaha) It's all about style... and trucks are a bit of utility. Here's my black corolla infront of my buddy Dino's I've been playing with little toys for ages... This truck was just the next progression.
please can you tell me how you slammed the hijet my van is in desperate need of it i have 7x13's on rear and 6x13's on front and they look soooo lost!!
I once had a thought to lower my mitsubishi van and put some daytons on it with the small white wall tires on it.
is it possible to flip the axel? as the doesnt look like there is much room!! mine is a 99 model i dont wanna spend loada money on it, its my work van i just wanna advertise my company with somthing that stands out a bit more than usual
For my 2 cents, if you are using the van for work, even hauling a small load, do not lower it. I have had my share of S-10s, Chev 1/2 tons and VWs to know that when you lower a vehicle it either becomes a harsh ride rattling your teeth or the handling suffers due to the geomitry being too far out. That and potholes will eat your frame! For the same look, just go +2 on the rim and -2 on the tire profile, this gives the illusion of lowering without all the hassels.
yea i get your points im a custom upholsterer so i dont carry a heavy load as such full interior at most plus im used to riding low on all my vehicles and stock just wont do too much body roll!! over here we have "sleeping police men" everywhere :frustration: so anything you drive is harsh. lol
http://www.minitrucktalk.com/showthread.php?t=2244 didn't want to do a re post. one point if you put wheels with a greater offset , it tends to lower the car. this will only affect the front. not the straight rear axle .
thanx guys some real good ideas the wheels have had the pcd drilled now ill paint them the weekend and mount the tyres ill post a pic when i have as a before pic then when i have the time ill drop it and add another pic any other ideas before then are more than welcome as i could get a better result using all of them together lol SLAMMED
