had the truck parked for a month or so in the cold battery of course is dead ( it was -30 ) driving it - it died at idle went ok while driving but could not use anything electrical or it would die cleaned terminals and cable ends Now its charged Seems like the alternator MIGHT be going funky Warning light is on load tester shows charging at mid 12v if i take off the neg terminal it stays running but dies if i turn on anything electrical Does anyone know... if anything from a early 90's civic or prelude will swap over?? Checked ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/92-93-94-95-honda-prelude-OEM-alternator-/200619806996?hash=item2eb5df5114&item=200619806996&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_3325wt_1037 http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-ACTY-2000-Alternator-66020-/320835365387?hash=item4ab3472a0b&item=320835365387&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_9622wt_1037 and by the images, they look very similar look like they might work with a few mods just wondering if anyone had tried this??
101211-281 ...is the original part #...any vehicle using the e07a engine should use a compatible alternator...2 hours searching and can't find a thing though..possibly an early civic (early 1980s)...seems both denso and possibly mitsubishi supplied alternators. Honda beat used the same engine and they were available in the UK so possibly an ebay purchase from there may work.. You could always try a rebuilder..they may be able to do something..internals are no issue it's case fitting that is the most important
