Got a picture? I ask because the Hijets use a “mini-Denso”, which is also used on all kinds of small industrial motors, and race cars to keep the weight down. So, you can find everything to rebuild the “miniDenso” units on eBay, and if you search for mini-Denso race alternator you can find them with outputs of 90 and 100-amps, for a lot less than an original alternator is going for used. Also, depending on where you are you may be able to find a shop that rebuilds them. I’m in small town Idaho, so there isn’t one local, but there are shops in Missoula MT, and Idaho Falls, ID which rebuild them, and starter motors. The guy in Idaho falls identified what starter motor was used on my hydraulic pump, and sent me the new brushes and the holder set I needed to fix it.
Is the old one MIA ? If you still have it , take it to a local starter alternator repair shopand get it rebuild.I just had a Subaru one done about a month ago less then a day , under a hundred out the door
