I have read several ugly stories about people installing the wrong air filter element in their mini-trucks.I would suggest that anyone buying a mini truck from anybody take the time to remove the housing inspect it,measure the element, be sure that the housing cap does not bottom out on the thread boss before properly sealing the element. The truck I bought had a new air filter installed in it and it was not the correct one.The correct one was no more than 1/8" taller, just enough to seal properly. It's a little extra work, but a lot of piece of mind.I am thinking about modifying the snorkel on my air filter housing to accept a clamp on UNI brand filter to act as a pre-cleaner.I will be using my truck in West Texas on our lease and the dust is horrible.
