    Hello all!

I've been driving my Acty very regularly lately.
Parked it one evening last week, running and driving perfectly as usual.

Next morning, I fired it up to take it to work and MAN!
What an awful clanking racket from the muffler area.

Shut it down, tapped on and shook the muffler assembly.
It wasn't the actual muffler but the bullet-shaped resonator (?) just ahead of it.
I could hear something inside broke loose.

After work, I removed the wheel/tire, shock and proceeded to cut a window in it to see what I'd find.
I'll be......the piece of pipe in my hand must have rusted loose and was banging around inside.
Note-the mangled end of that tube is due to using pliers to pull it out of the resonator.

I made a patch panel and welded it up.

While I was at it, I repaired some rust holes in the tailpipe where it met the muffler housing and maybe 2" into the tailpipe assembly.

Good to go now-tight and quiet.
