Greetings, long time motorcycle wrencher here, new to Kei. I'm looking at a '97 Hijet van for what seems to be a reasonable price $3K, considering there is a "ticking" noise at the middle range of the RPM. Listening to the video I'll link that he sent, it sounds like rod knock. Anyone have experience with this? Thoughts? In my area, strong running kei in good shape go for $8-10K, so something that may require real work seems reasonable.
I will add the seller says it only knocks at the mid range of the throttle, regardless of engine temp, and that it starts and idles just fine.
