The Honda Acty Truck English factory manual by James Danko is only for 1989~1997 Honda Acty trucks and Vans. Carbureted Version. Do not know of any other English language repair manual for the older models like 1982.

Thanks for your reply. Its much appreciated! After a quick Google search the manual is around €55 euro or so - I would want to get the right one at that price :) .

Even if I had a Japanese version it may also help?. How would I look the frame/vin number in one of these?

I would be fairly confident with the mechanical side of things but its the Body Schematics and Specifications is what I would be after just so I could get it right.

Would there be anywhere online that has body panels/floor pans etc. for these?

Have you had yours long? :)

    Thanks for any help received!

Never had to look for body panels, flor pans etc, my Acty is from 1997 and has no corrosion, almost never sees snow. Have my car now 6 years. Bought it in 2010 when it had only 12000 km, former owner used it seldom. Now has 56000 km.
Parts replaced were the 2 solenoid valves for the carb, found some info on a japanese website http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/kurumanosentakuya/archive/2012/3/25

tires, oil filter, fluids like engine oil and automatic trans fluid, air filter, wiper rubbers, a new windshield was installed due to stone chips on the highway, aircon filter I made by myself a new one instead of the expensive original filter (kitchen filter),. New exhaust was needed to pass inspection, old one had a hole. Aircon was not running when I bought it, turned out the condenser and evaporator were completely clogged with dirt (part of that is under driver seat), cleaned all that and the aircon runs well even in hot Japanese raining season. Also cleaned up the holes under seat so that the moisture from the aircon can drop to below the car,
This year a new battery was the "major investment". Lasted more than 9 years. I found data on the old battery when it was installed. Also installed stronger bulbs for headlights.
That is basically all, it runs and runs.

Some great information there in fairness! Thanks for that. Are you from Japan originally? It sounds like you keep your equipment in good condition. Have you done much to cars before or are you learning as you go?

Would you know what grade motor oil goes into these? motorbike or some form of car motor oil?

I tried to upload a few pictures of mine but they were too big. Gonna see if photobucket will do. Here it goes:

Wow, that is a rare one, a Honda Camper Van. Here is another one for sales in the U.K. https://www.gumtree.com/p/campervan...ihatsu-hijet-c15d-romahome-classic/1197200621
    Is that the romahome? http://truck-campers.uk/images/photos/A23b.jpg
Found on truck-campers.uk this info: the fibreglass Romahome body for the tiny, 350c.c. Honda Acty was manufactured by Evans Developments (Portsmouth) Ltd. from 1978 onwards. Exploiting the company's boat-building expertise, the Romahome was the first UK demountable to utilise a monocoque construction technique. From the outset the Romahome was intended for production line manufacture and was to be made available to the public through a network of dealerships - even in the USA (see Popular Mechanics article) - rather than direct from the factory. This was in direct contrast to the bespoke coachbuilding that other manufacturers at the time offered. Evans continued to produce, develop and improve the Romahome through the 1980s and into the 1990s fitting them not just to the Honda but to other 'micro' pickups such as the Daihatsu Hijet and the Bedford Rascal.

I am originally from Germany but live in Japan since many years, wrenching on old BMWs all my life, have some E32 750iL from 1988-94 and an E36 M3 from 1998 and my own repair site for these cars http://twrite.org/shogunnew/topmenu.html
