660cc engine with a warped head

This is in an EVERY - the VAN version of the carry, and is Turbocharged. I bought it with a blown headgasket, but upon removal of the head, the head is warped and the deck needs resurfacing. Would it be wise to just machine the head and reinstall with a new gasket? Will the machining cause the compression ratio to change enough to worry about on this little turbocharged engine? Any tips or tricks? Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

Just skim enough off to true it up and you should be good. Any machind shop worth their salt can do it. Make sure you get the latest gasket, over the last 15 years there most likely have been a few design changes. If it is a bi-metal engine (cast iron block) make sure you mention that to the machinist, that requires a slightly different finish on the head surface.
