Anyone have (or know someone who has) a 4a30 or 4a31 for parts? Specifically, I'm looking for a camshaft sprocket (MD195996) new or used. I've already tried Nengun, Amayama, and parstouq but get the standard response of "no longer in production". I can not find this part anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What happened to your original? Just curious. Could it be removed and attempted to be replaced at a machine shop or similar? I'll do some searching and will post here if I can turn something up. Turbo models probably have different sprocket so ignore the 4A30T but a quick search had some hits for that motor....See what you can find
The guy who was wrenching on the cylinder head "dropped" the original and it shattered. He tried welding it back but it won't work. I see plenty of used ones... in Vladivostok, Russia. I've asked some of the machine shops around here and no one wants to take on the project. According to partsouq, it's the same camshaft sprockets on the DOHC as well. I do see a few turbo cylinder heads on eBay but was hoping I didn't have to buy the entire head (which I can't use on a NA engine) only to just pull the sprocket.
