3 cylinder daihatsu tach

    Yep, I considered an inductive type, like you linked. But then I decided I wanted something that looked more tachy! I'll post more if/when I get it successfully installed.

    Tach installed. Works great. I'm happy with its performance. Smooth moving needle. Everything is lit up nicely. I had trouble finding a 2" tach, so I'm glad I found this one!

    I liked the base that was provided. It has several "legs" that you can bend individually...which means I was able to contour it nicely for my curvy dash. I'm not usually a fan of sticker mounts, but this one is solid. And this small tach weighs nothing.

    For those with an engine like mine, here is the signal wire I used (the white one in the pic). I checked a few wires at the ECM, but never found one that worked. So I went all the way to the coil. This black plug connects to the coil (currently unplugged in picture, of course). The two white wires are the same (they are spliced together in the wire loom). The pic is obviously my set up in test mode...I was still looking for a signal at this point.
